Il you want to understand the film on entirely different level you should understand the psychoanalysis of the characters. Character development in this movie is insane, it shows how repressed trauma changes person behaviour because it takes a part of their identity( Scottie losing his job because of his phobia) and it shows to which extent we are willing to change ourselves for a loved one ( Judith transformation).Also throughout the film Hitchcock plays with colours and symbols hinting the audience with the obvious while still managing to keep them in suspence awaiting for more.
