A visually and mentally cacophonous ride into mindscapes of madness, gore, absurdity and gloom. Somewhat exhausting but never to the point of fatigue.
It’s truly a unique unprecedented cinematic feat.

The closest description would be if Jan Švankmajer collaborated with Lynch in making a Tool video, but they hate tool and make a GWAR video instead.
    But in the year 2095.
    After the cinemapocalypse.

I knocked half a star off the score due to the use of real humans in some scenes, I don’t think that totally gelled for me.

It’s becoming more and more apparent that screwball comedy doesn’t work for me.
My Man Godfrey is even pretty toned down and slow paced for a screwball which should make me like it more but it still doesn’t click.
A very obvious case of a cinematic “It’s not you, it’s me”.

The shadows of film noir may grow long in the city but it's nothing compared to the darkness of the rural south.

Danny Hawkins has been plagued by bullies his whole life; his criminal father's conviction and execution is forever hanging over him like a curse. One night the boiling point is reached. In a fit of uncontrollable rage, when trying to fend for himself, he kills his long time upper class tormentor Jerry Sykes.
