Where Interstellar succeeds is having grand visuals while never forgetting a compelling and emotional core narrative. There’s a lot of scientific concepts in the movie, which the film recognized is better utilized to serve and its grander themes of love transcending space and time.
Overall a great movie, maybe should have a spot among the greatest of all time! Also the Tars robots were pretty dope 🤖

At first, I was horrified. Then I was in despair
Haunting. From the imagery to the subject matter. This is probably the most immersed I’ve felt in a horror movie thus far.
Much praise should be given to how sexual violence is portrayed in the movie as horrifying and how the movie’s depiction of it avoids being titillating (despite the nudity that appears) There is a lot of thematic meat to the movie’s story in terms trauma, love and grief.

Elite Squad (Tropa de Elite) is as much thrilling as it is hopeless. One gets to see the many things that Brazilian cops are up against: internal corruption, poor resources, and drug dealers with influence among poor and rich alike.
It’s no wonder Captain Nascimiento wanted to leave it all behind, whereas Matias who started starry-eyed became a violent thug who is willing to cross many lines.
