Almost feels like a parody for how cliche this movie is. While the premise of fighting a war in the future sounds interesting enough, the film takes the most generic approach imaginable, with almost every decision being predictable. The most apparent aspects of the movie are it’s tonal and thematic inconsistencies, in which the movie begins with a possible focus on veterans and wartime trauma and then progresses to the importance of family somehow.
