    Galaxy Quest is a film that I have watched at least once a year since I saw it in the theater.  Oddly enough, I wasn’t a Star Trek fan going into it, but that didn’t take away from my enjoyment of the film one bit.  It was a fantastical adventure that was very ahead of its time.

    Rewatched 

    I added a half a star to this on second watch, as I thing it’s brilliant.  When I walked out of the theater the first time, I was convinced that Scarlet Johansson should have won best supporting actress and not Laura Dern,  and I still believe that.  While I loved Dern in Marriage Story, she didn’t have the range of emotions that was needed for this role.  Johansson did, and did so with very little screen time.
