  Being familiar only with (and loving) Paul Thomas Anderson's more 'heavy' or 'dramatic' films (There Will Be Blood, The Master, Phantom Thread) I wasn't quite sure what a "romantic-comedy starring Adam Sandler directed by PTA" was going to look like. Now I know and I like it.   After listening to Sean Fennessey’s interview with Pawlikowski about this film I am teetering on the edge of bumping my rating to a 4.5. Regardless, ‘Cold War’ is a beautiful film and one of the best ‘music driven’ movies I’ve seen in a long while.
