I had a hard time with this one because I just kept wondering why the main character just couldn't be a little nicer :(

Watching her kinda fuck over / piss off everyone in her life was difficult, and I started to feel a certain amount of compassion fatigue for her in a way that made the rest of the watch past that point not-so-enjoyable.

Steve was great as always, and I appreciate the choice to put heavy emphasis on the "nerd" portion of "music nerd."

Not bad overall, though I would've enjoyed more had I related better to Enid's character.

I chuckled while I was watching but promptly forgot everything about it once it was over.

Also I was NOT informed the whole juggalo thing is part of the core concept of the movie, so it was kinda funny wondering to myself "Damn. I wonder how long they're going to run with the icp references?"

It was nice! Got some laughs from me, evoked some feelings, and I liked how the ending punctuated the movie. On one hand I wanted to see more and learn about how Anna's feelings and attachments (or lack thereof) continued to progress, but on the other I worry that we might have fallen into some cliché feel-good type writing.

I think I realized that I just do not like Ed Helms though.

Lacks some of the power that The Holy Mountain had for me, but still a fantastic watch. Feels almost aimless and meandering until a certain point, where things start to click together. Lots of eye candy and plenty to think over for subsequent viewings.
