    Yeah it still has a pacing problem. Right out of the gate the music and camera are cranked to the ER-max with what’s more of a slow, curious introduction. 

    Still, props for where it goes and what it does differently.

    I can never tell if he's playing a caricature to like... wedge his foot in the door of the minds of men who think like he does to make them better people, or if he's legit as insufferable in his personal life as he makes himself out to be in his comedy.

    UPDATE NOTE 9/23: I have since watched and enjoyed Almodóvar's other movie All About My Mother which was comparatively not problematic at all and was super progressive, which lead me to circle back to my harsh review of this movie as I've learned this was meant to be a satire and, as you can see from my review, it went right over my head.
