  That this film received zero Oscar nominations kind of makes a mockery of the awards. Eastwood gives one of his finest performances in a film that will make you laugh and cry. Film making of the highest calibre from a man who often receives praise for his direction but gets far to little credit as an actor.

  I have to say that after seeing Dead Hooker in a Trunk I’d written off the Soska sisters as talentless wannabes attempting to jump on the Grindhouse bandwagon. A sentiment that ill prepared me for their follow-up.
