This is a lot more avant-garde than I expected, and I'm not sure I fully understood what Ingmar Bergman is going for here. It's undoubtedly a statement on the psychological effect of lying for a living (also known as acting). It definitely succeeded at being unpredictable, disturbing, and thought-provoking.
