  Makes me wanna dance and sing and disobey my mother! Killer music, gorgeous lighting, and swiftly beautiful use of montage. At first I was skeptical about the b&w desaturating (what I imagined to be) the vivid colors of Maggie’s bedroom and her world beyond, but I feel it successfully resulted in reinforcing the dissonance between her idealized perception of Serena and the reality of her relationship with this ephemeral being. Plus, again, it looked sososo gorgeous in b&w. Can’t wait for the next one:)
