  decided to put this on because the setting of a nightmare world of gore and rust and decay and shit and vomit and constant senseless torture and murder for all eternity where the only mercy is assassinating reality itself kind of resonated given Current Fucking Events, but honestly there's so much creative genius on display here that it's kind of hard to stay in a bad mood and wallow in the setting's misery. every single new shot has something incredible…

  "Boomers will just tell you a story about their childhood friend who got killed by wild dogs or their friend who got his eye stung out by a wasp. Theres never any point to the story and even they seem confused by the end."

  perfect example of a movie that is pretty damn good but also that i don't see myself ever revisiting. bleak as all hell. the "angel" is one of the more upsetting visuals i've seen in a movie recently. christ
