Incredibly touching. It's very interesting to learn more Jonas Mekas's personal life and struggles, and it makes me appreciate his films even more. The way he was able to see the beauty in the small things was inspiring, magical. He was a man tormented by his past, a displaced person, a poet, an artist. Thank you so much, Jonas

Incredibly life affirming, and breathtakingly beautiful. This film is a collection of innocent little memories, and that's exactly what life is about. Our life may not have a greater meaning, but beauty can be found everywhere, be it spending time with a loved one, a friend, or just by watching a sunset.
Love is beautiful, friendship is beautiful, life is beautiful

It seems that this letterboxd entry is not entirely correct. The original film was 94 minutes long, but it was censored by the americans in 1945 because it was deemed too patriotic. I had the chance to watch the uncensored version in a theatre and the message of the film was highly altered by the censorship.
