what almost always holds up for Marvel is that the source material is rich - characters with their own lore, grand internal and external conflicts, and complicated villains
just a shame that the MCU doesn't wanna dare try anything cinematically different...characters end up having the same personalities, story arcs all following the same beats, and references that are far too deep in the universe for casual fans to care about
would be disappointing if they introduced adamantium so they can taint the x-men brand with this played-out slop
