  Honestly not as bad as people make it out to be. The film definitely does not do a good job of accurately representing the transgender experience nor does it do a good job with its portrayal of mexico. The plot is also pretty all over the place and the character development doesn’t make a lot of sense. The actresses playing emilia and the lawyer actually did an amazing job and despite their poorly written scripts they excelled in their roles. I actually thought the musical numbers and cinematography were pretty unique and engaging and actually did enjoy the watch of the film

  Cool cinematography and interesting power dynamics. Thought the ending was a little random and could have been built up to a bit more.

  The cinematography and scoring was awesome. The far away shots that zoomed in, the overlays, the use of light to emphasize shapes was amazing. The movie was definitely disturbing at parts and I don’t think I smiled once but still think it was an awe-inspiring piece of art. 

  P.S. Even though I thought it was great I never want to see it again
