After seeing The Day the Earth Blew Up I was interested in going back and watching some older Looney Tunes. I found this one on an Archive.org list of all the old Merrie Melodies and Looney Tunes, apparently something of a pilot demonstration used to pitch a character, Bosko, the Talk-Ink Kid, to studio execs in the hopes they would fund several theatrical shorts.
The character is a racist caricature, perhaps not as mean spirited as many such animated characters…
Incredibly cool to see a traditionally anined film in a theater again. Reminded me how much I loved the Looney Tunes as a kid. A Big fuck you to David Zaslav for not giving us that Wile E. Coyote movie that was FULLY FINISHED and then deleted and written off for tax breaks a couple years ago.

Thoughts on Episode I: "Master & Apprentice"
This would be nigh incomprehensible to those who haven't seen a significant amount of Star Wars Rebels. Even having seen that series, I found this cumbersome and too reliant on past stories, while also casually dropping things that do not make sense into the characters' backstories. Sabine's a great fighter and remarkably smart, but has never shown any aptitude in connecting to the Force. Also feels weird that Ahsoka acts like Hera knows little…
