    Well that was good foreign fun.  Global warming has released a microbe that can cross any two creatures it comes into contact with. Those poor Europeans.  Now it's time for gross bird/bug/ibex/fox puppets and lots of screaming.  Honestly the best acting in the movie was the work done by a rather talented dog, but it was all in good fun.  It was nice to see them try to do an indie cheesy gooey horror flick these days without once winking at the camera.

    It's hard to criticize a Star Wars movie.  Let me say that right off the bat.  The entire universe that they painstakingly build down to the smallest detail on the screen deserves respect simply for the sheer craftsmanship.  And to be honest, I felt like this was the most honest feeling Star Wars movie I've ever seen.  It's the movie for the little guys.  Not everyone in the universe is a magical light saber wielding hero, or a terrifying all…

    Yes, I've seen it before.  Yes, it's a horrible movie.  Yes, the special effects are cheesy and the acting is atrocious.   But... zombie giraffes... I can think of no other creature so awkwardly horrifying... well zombie giraffes and myself back in high school.

    I feel like I'm one of the very few to find pleasure in Tusk, but for some reason I'd been hesitant to see this one. I'm honestly glad I did. Loves: "Bratzis," the surprising fun of Ralph Garman celebrity voice impressions, and some genuinely lovable on screen friendship chemistry between the titular hosers. Who knew that nepotism could work out so well?
    Not so Loves: consistently being reminded of the above mentioned nepotism. I don't mind the occasional wink to the audience, but this movie winked so much, I started to fear it had Tourette's...
