sobbed the entire last third of the movie to be honest? i think taking a horrible historical event and then framing it not only from a family's perspective, but basically the "matriarch" as she has to hold her family together?? honestly took my breath away. fernanda torres got snubbed!!!!!

the twist was pretty predictable which like, fair, it's based on real events and men are kind of just evil like that. it was fine. kind of felt like a classic case of the actors are kind of mogging (and this is gemma arterton's natural state of being so like who's surprised) but the script is just. there, i guess.
