Salò, or the 120 Days of Sodom 1975
Talking about this movie feels almost impossible. Yes, fascism is sick, and this movie makes that abundantly clear. Like damn, the risk the director took in making a film that directly calls out the very people who once had even a fraction of this power. That is inspirational.
But like, some of the actors involved were underage. Learning that fact left a sour taste in my mouth. Can someone please explain to me how this is okay?
Don't get me wrong, I respect what this movie is saying. However, I have mixed feelings about how the movie goes about expressing those feelings.
