Presence 2024
Honestly a great watch. Kept me engrossed for the entire runtime. The ending was satisfying, pulling back just shy of spelling out the twist and leaving room for interpretation. Too many scenes with awkward performances and writing to give a stellar review but would absolutely recommend.

Nosferatu 2024
Nosferatu is a perfect example of an expertly crafted film. With inspired visuals, stand-out actors, and meticulous care for the source material and culture therein. However, if I dont have any emotional response to the story or characters, I simply won't care. Unlike Eggers other films, I was not invested in the success or wellbeing of the protagonist. Each scene moved past me like rooms in a Disney ride, the world felt disprortionately small for the supposed stakes (no pun intended) and I felt no suspense for what's to come.
