What an absolutely beautifully set, directed, acted, film. It was a breath of fresh air to see this type of movie and it actually being something great. Thriller/mystery movies are some of my personal favorites and I feel like it’s always the same thing with a lot of movies but this, this was good.

A perfect example of how trauma and grief can linger longer than expect. How it affects people and the people around them. How one mistake, either on purpose or in this case on accident, can create a world of depression, anxiety, and loneliness. Casey is a phenomenal actor and really shined in this film. I know what scene everyone associates with this film, but for me, the scene that makes this movie is the reunion between Lee and Randi. This is, in my view the pinnacle of this film and a near perfect single piece of cinema.

I feel like this movie doesn’t know what it wants to be. At some point it feels like it’s a play put on a TV screen and other points, it’s like it is trying to portray a classic 90s film. Really the best redeeming quality of this movie is Tom Cruise performance. Brad Pitt’s performance was mediocre until the last 20 minutes. This movie dreaded on way too long and it could have just been so much better with the talent it had been given.

The perfect depiction of why someone is innocent until proven guilty. This film carries so many heavyweight scenes that at some points I felt emotionally drained. For a film that was made in the late 50s, I was impressed out how hard hitting the stance of injustice against minorities played out. One of the most captivating films ever made.
