I swear Fassbender was wearing Meta Ray-bans the whole time wtf were those thick glasses..
I was not digging the stylistic choice to set the bloom to 80%. Felt like I had astigmatism.
The supporting cast was really good this film I enjoyed their scenes and thought they were very well done, same with Blanchett and Fassbender.
Overall it was good, just not great. Felt like an average whodunit.
2024 was my vibes era, 2025 is my hater era.
I have never laughed so hard at a movie before.

After letting this simmer I think I'm ready to give my honest review.
Overall I enjoyed my experience.
It definitely is more of a viewing experience than anything else.
The film began by setting up these expectations of complex themes they were exploring, the gripping effects of existentialism, becoming old and facing your own expiration. And eventually, finding it hard to live with your own self after you have peaked in life.
But then the ending said fuck it, instead…
When the ones you love the most die in front of you, how can you go on living? You will see their likeness in other people and suffer gripping with reality that they are dead..over..and over.
Trying to find a reason to live, find who you are, all while answering to your own guilt from being living without them.
Love is like sand. You can't hold on to it. It slips through your fingers.
The film really is a fever…
