  I think this is my first time watching it since seeing it in theaters back in the day. It’s better than I remember. The story, the direction, the cast, the acting, the dialogue, the pacing, the interpersonal tension, and of course the sound design led by the Trent Reznor score. This movie is essentially perfect for what it is.

  But I think I wanna go 4.5 stars instead of 5, just because 5 is for other rarified Fincher air. This movie still doesn’t touch Gone Girl or Fight Club, which are movies I still think about to this day.
