Not much of a wrestling guy, so I didn’t enjoy the film as much as the target audience. Also was a little disappointed they didn’t explain the scripting associated with each fight. Like if the whole thing is fake and scripted why are they so emotional about it. However, the movie had a great cast and Lip Gallagher and Troy Bolton did a great job.

Ricky Stanicky 2024
Much better film than I thought it would be regarding the minimal amounts of advertising associated with it and the respected actors. Was expecting more of a classic 2010s-esque type of comedy but they really hit the ground running in terms of the plot. Film also had many high points in terms of comedy throughout the movie but it was definitely lacking consistency. Also did not enjoy the constant heart drops when determining whether or not Rick Stanicky is a real person. But overall, the movie was adequate.
