  excellent film.

  PROS
  - beautifully shot in a lowkey fashion
  - no melodrama
  - excellent acting
  - the writing was top notch, beautiful intertwined - stories and you really feel like you get to know the characters in such a short time
  - fantastic score. no spoilers but there is a part where the diegetic sound becomes the soundtrack and it’s fantastic cinema

  Tetsuo: The Iron Man 1989

  felt like an extended length student film... which isn't a bad thing. it means it didn't have to be held back by regular filmmaking tropes.

  PROS
  - weird, out there, not like anything i've seen before
  - black & white films always rule
  - some really cool, wacky SFX
  - fantastic new wave/post punk electronica soundtrack (probably the best part)
  - some cool lines of dialogue "our love can destroy this whole fucking world"

  CONS
  - nonsensical
  - tries to be deep, but in a very abstract way, leaving much to be desired
  - cliché in it's abstractness
