  The Crucible 1996

  It turns out the Salem witch trials were caused by Daniel Day-Lewis' unrestrained libido, which is totally understandable when you see him in this film. Easily peak fuckability.

  He's teamed up with Winona Ryder again, who does a great job of really making you hate her character. You sorta end up hating everyone in this movie tbh.

  Notes:
  - everyone's teeth are fuckin GNARLY
  - young women are not to be trusted, apparently
  - noted creep and pederast Jeffrey "i was only creating CP for art purposes" Jones is in this, so be warned

  An excellent film start to finish, the last 20 minutes or so are especially good. Probably one of my faves of the Daniel Day-Lewis flicks I've seen so far, Emma Thompson and Pete Postlethwaite are so good in this too.

  Taking a forced break from the Day-Lewis cinewatch - forced because Eversmile New Jersey is impossible to stream in Canada, and Last of the Mohicans is only on Apple TV. Man I fuckin' hate the future.

  Anyway. I watched the first Equalizer movie last year and enjoyed Denzel taking dudes' apart in a Home Depot, so here we are.

  This one was...boring? Or ultra predictable at least. Borderline moralizing boomer shlock at times. Pedro and Denzel eat up every scene they're in. Denzel kills a guy with a harpoon gun. He Equalizes all over everybody. The end.
