  3.5 hour epics are back and yerp… it’s freaking goated. best adrien brody performance I’ve seen and I was so drawn in I didn’t even notice that guy pearce and felicity jones were playing the other leads. it almost had the feel of an opera the way it was directed; the filmmaking felt colossal if that makes sense. ending was necessary and functional, but I think it could’ve been done in a more interesting or effective way. it became a sermon deficient in emotional payoff for Brody’s character.
