First, the editing and general scene construction was impressive. While I understand the criticisms about pandering, I do feel like the central message was genuine and not just another morally loaded cash grab blockbuster. That being said, I think many movies have done a better job at examining the tension between authenticity and success, and if we’re being honest, it wasn’t even the best 2022 film at it.
