A Real Pain is a movie about pain after loss. It plays with big themes like the Holocaust, but also very familiar themes like the loss of a family member, depression and anxiety. Interesting but ultimately underwhelming choice of animation style. Hera, her brothers and the Shield maiden were great, but the king is truly despicable.
