This isn’t quite on the level of Vol. 1 for me, it’s just slow at points and the big moments didn’t hit as well. Budd and Elle are just not as cool as O-Ren. Bill is cool though and there’s a satisfying ending. Also the exposition of this movie makes Vol. 1 better with context

Hereditary 2018
This will probably be the biggest gap between whatever “objective” thoughts I have and my personal enjoyment of a movie. Toni Collette is an insane actress and some of the imagery is genuinely messed up. The music and sound design also kept my heart rate way too high the whole time. I was really into the family dynamic and the exploration of grief and then it turned into satanism (derogatory). The last 15 minutes were intense. I was disturbed (complimentary) and I will actively avoid ever watching this again
