Se7en meets Twin Peaks, with a rhinoplastied Nicholas Cage dragging the second act down.
The presentation was gorgeous. I especially loved the introduction, but at times the substance felt shallow beneath the sharp, clean style.
The oddball humour was a really refreshing shakeup for this kind of movie, but as it dig into the second act it couldn’t keep up with the balance it was going for.
I respect Longlegs for its strong personality and wish it could have balanced itself better.
