The Monuments Men 2014
This movie tries to be a nostalgic, heartfelt dad movie, but it fails at every beat. The script fails to hit the depths that it aims for and the score undercuts any attempt at poignance. This crew of talented actors is wasted on a sequence of scenes with no connective tissue or heart. Truly a disappointment.

Elemental 2023
Movie was warm and moving, it hit the spot for a Disney/Pixar film and had some heart. The analogies it was building didn't always work, but it found a way to have a commentary on some of our real world issues. Not an instant classic, but worth a watch for a calm night in.
