    Poliziotteschi may be my favourite kind of fascist cinema. 

    If you think about it, it’s pretty weird that in the 70s/80s, a lot of moviemakers in the West decided that the world was a hellscape dominated by deranged, violent young people with no real motivation than sadism and chaos, and furthermore that due process was weakness, civilian control over the police was either gullible or corrupt, and the only solution was unrestrained extrajudicial killing.
