A fine display of perfect jawlines, thighs, sweaty abs and bootys. Nice camera work and soundtrack. Ending felt a bit unresolved for me personally. Also not one use of backhand slices, drop shots or lobs throughout the film until the very end, all topspin power shots which bothered me. It looks more dramatic and cool, but tennis players are more technical than that!

Beautifully animated and stunning soundtrack as you'd expect from Studio Ghibli. Plot was pretty messy and some of the ideas weren't really explained throughout the film which left me a bit hollow and confused as to why certain decisions were made. Studio Ghibli have set such a high standard, it was disappointing to for Miyazaki to finish with this film.

Brenden Frasier's performance was incredible and so believable, it's a great comeback movie for him. Wasn't as heart-wrenching as I expected, but I still really enjoyed the film.

Beautifully shot on canon film which gave the film a nice hazy 70's horror feel. Great soundtrack by Mark Jenkin himself. Painfully slow and the pacing and storytelling wasn't engaging enough. Wasn't as chilling or scary as I'd hoped and left me feeling a bit annoyed and empty by the end. Would have been good as a short film at an art exhibition, but an hour and a half wasn't needed for this story.
