Sing Street is an endearing, playful, and witty coming of age film. It’s the classic John Carney story of starting a band, finding love, and trying desperately to leave the callow streets of Dublin with nothing but a handful of songs and hope. The music reflects its 80s setting, while retaining a contemporary pop feel. I dare you not to get at least one song stuck in your head.
