    Digital cinematography peaked here, and we've been on a steady decline ever since. Incredible how like half the movie has the exposure completely blown out, yet it's still one of the most beautiful films ever made.

    Really thought we'd moved past the "no homo"-era of humor, but I guess that might've been too optimistic of me. Like 60% of the jokes here are just "wouldn't it be funny if Deadpool was gay? jk he's not actually gay!"

    Like most MCU films it looks like shit, nothing about the story feels sincere in any way, and it's inherently incapable of actually grappling with any of the meta-commentary it's constantly gesturing at. But dedicating what feels like half the runtime to homophobic jokes is just egregious.

    Initially plays as an amalgamation of tropes and archetypes of the assassin genre, stripped down to their bare essentials, something akin to John Boorhman's Point Blank. As the film continues to commit to all the usual cliches, it becomes so much more. Korine obviously has to make something truly bizzare out of this.

    The dialogue makes no sense. Characters are reduced to nothing but archetypes. They mumble through their lines, sounding completely disinterested. Nothing makes sense on its own, but…
