Watched this right after finishing the elizabeth moss tv series, and it's reminds me how much I enjoyed hearing how other people read and visually see dystopian worlds vs. your own interpretation.
Quite a jump in vibe and story telling speed:
The vibe seemed to better suit a slasher/thriller as a made for TV film. And honestly they made it way more cutesy and hopeful then I really thought was possible with the book material.

I could watch this film as a 6-hour film of this small slice of life, and still would never feel like I got enough. Truly haven't felt a strong "Aw it's over already?" in this way in a while.
Methodical, small, and yet, all-encompassing and touchingly brutal blows.
Plus Evan & Gina had my heart as soon as the first wink happened across the baggage claim.
there's a beauty and care to this film that made me sit on my hands and shut up in awe through the whole thing; an overgrowth worth of a gift of two life stories in a little film package.
