Great archival footage, and great source material. Unfortunately, I don't think that the combination and pacing of both really capture Fanon's work. Obviously, the documentary can only use certain fragments in order to establish a narrative through the footage, but a text as complex as Fanon's felt a little lost and diluted across the film. For those familiar with Fanon's work, this documentary is ok, and a great source of historical perspective through archival footage. For those not familiar with The Wretched of the Earth, I recommend reading it first, and then coming back to the documentary.
