Really shitty documentary that was too stretched out. But the second and third episodes were great. What a wild story.

Went into this completely blind and, holy shit it’s fantastic. Absolutely love this genre of film and this is at the top of that list.
The lead actresses are stellar, oscillating between carefree and petrified from shot to shot. I could watch 10 more movies like this.

Lots of frustration with this movie. I would’ve really liked either Rian Johnson’s trilogy or JJ Abram’s trilogy, but I hated what we got.
Also, this particular movie feels like everything I hate in big franchises.. no real stakes for absolutely anything. Everything dramatic is ultimately undone later on. This trilogy as a whole is just wildly disappointing and a great “what if” for me.

Bill Simmons has this concept of “Director Season Tickets” and I can definitely say Aneesh is an absolute can’t miss after this and Searching. He has a unique style to his thrillers too.
Anyways, this was fantastic, despite being aggressively dumb. I didn’t like it as much as Searching, but it was still a good watch. 2 incredible acting performances and an twisted storyline.
Loved the cleverness of the main character. There are some legitimately horrifying scenes in this. This movie had a very forced Usual Suspects type reveal... like why was chained up next to all the evidence? Felt like I was missing something.
