  Weird.

  Expertly made movie. Beautifully shot, excellent score, excellent make up work. Kudos to everyone involved.

  However this felt like a bad SNL skit going on far too long.  

  At times I was annoyed, at times  it was obnoxious- despite its attempts at heart felt moments.

  Not familiar with the filmmakers other work, so maybe that’s on me-  maybe I should’ve prepped myself.

  But this movie wasn’t for me- but again, kudos to everyone who worked on it. It is beautiful (it’s also obnoxious).

  Oofta.

  Some of the most arrogant, self indulgent filmmaking I’ve seen in a while. 

  What makes me mad is that of the two hour movie- there was about 5 minutes of thoughtful - intelligent discussion. 

  Absolutely baffling that the filmmaker didn’t follow some of his own ideas on the culture of crime entertainment. That was some meaty stuff.

  Instead we were inundated with him rambling in a pseudo self important tone  about a movie he would’ve made had he had…
