  A League of Their Own 1992

  A movie done right with an iconic name and poster, and a crazy good cast (Madonna was actually not that bad). A diamond in the rough of character writing in realistic fiction and comedy, including many hilariously freaky moments. Apparently very popular when it released and still enjoyable today; if only Mickey 17 got the treatment like this movie did, knowing how freaky it is.

  Sort of like how The Dark Knight enhanced the superhero genre, Oldboy enhanced vengeance filmmaking. I have never seen a finer revenge flick until this point in my life, with an ultra-emotional story to die for that tackles so much and strips everything down to its core, and sensational on a technical standpoint (of course, that fight scene…). I surprisingly found it to be coherent watching it the first time, it was more visionary than I thought but I loved all of it. Sort of like Evangelion where you either love it or hate it.

  Re-release went hard. Sorry guys forgot a half star. The reason was I always thought it kinda misrepresented jazz, but the message rly hits harder now as music gets more competitive. Rly shoulda chosen a new path 😭

  Yes, it is simplistic and does drag its exposition but I can’t deny how much Nolan did to revitalize Batman in such a masterful way. Really can’t wait for The Dark Knight…
