Absolute fucking peak.
Movie that expects full attention from the viewer, does not spoon feed you anything. Great acting, story, camera work, music.
Even though the main theme of the movie is sad, it effortlessly changes atmosphere throughout its almost 4 hour runtime, making it a breeze to watch - I left the theatre exhilerated, even though I was damn hungry.

I enjoyed the movie, especially the buddy cop banter; I simply like Gyllenhaal. However, some of the cliches annoyed me:
There is a scene where Mike and Bryan are getting shot at by Mr. Evil and his gang, and out of 80~ point blank bullets Jake gets shot in the hand - and that's all, every other shot is missed.
