Honest, brutal and touching. The perfect anti portrait of the motherhood unrealistic stereotype. The film carefully portrays the illusion of happiness humans create when they feel trapped. Impulses, guilt, passions and desires suffocated by social pressure - Leda is the hyperbolic representation of those feelings. The doll implies hope, a second chance to be a good mother - I absolutely loved the symbolism of how a daughter is associated with a toy, it represents the selfishnesses that consumes the human essence. A masterpiece.
