  Definitely one of the best DC movies so far.

  I had the pleasure of attending a screening with the director, Angel Manuel Soto, and the executive director of NALIP, Diana Luna, present. Angel is such a humble and talented Director. 

  The premiere for the movie happened during the tropical storm/ “hurricane” LA had and it ended up getting cancelled. On top of that the strikes have been on going, so in solidarity the cast could not promote the film.

  They hardly advertised this movie which was an injustice. Interesting concept. Great suspense and a simple movie that intentionally doesn’t have to turn into a franchise.

  Personally, I think the futuristic/action/thriller genre is taking on a very familial + maternal approach. This movie further supports this claim. I do like the dynamic shifting from romantically centered action/thrills to humanity focused. The stakes are also juicier.
