The fable of Freddy and Friends finally finds its feet in film yet fumbles and falls flat.

A culmination of nearly a decade of video games, the Five Nights at Freddy’s movie tells it and simply as it can, and it does! Kinda. With some extra family drama for good measure, the story sadly struggles to balance the horror and ambiance with the copy and paste child custody battle.

Suspenseful and sounds wonderful, yet ultimately a little unsatisfying.

Some scenes shine as the movie carefully builds to the all important pulling of the trigger, and the resulting high of a good clean scene. However when each and every scene plays out the same it gets that little bit too repetitive, and ultimately  causes the hit to miss.

Yet if I was happy for anything to continually repeat, it was the stunning sound mixing of the world and music, blending…
