Not totally sure on this one, overall.
Good:
- Seems to have a lot of fun with itself
- Lost of great practical FX gooey goodness.
- Surprisingly unafraid to be weird and gross.
- Definite Dead Alive vibes with baby 'juiceNot as good:
-Jenna Ortega plays a pretty uninteresting and mildly annoying cliche dark rebellious teen girl(who obvs can quote Dostoyevsky..)
-the jokes failed to be funny, primarily
-The plot, stakes and resolution were admittedly pretty weakBut, I mean... It's a fucking Beetlejuice movie. So yeah.

Knives Out 2019
Based on all the early reviews I was really hoping this film would be one of the year's best but I was left disappointed for the most part. Great cinematography and a range of great performances from a likeable cast are the highlights in this film.
I was not so crazy about the direction the plot takes and how early many of the main puzzle pieces are doled out. The humor is also extremely hit or miss.
Worth a watch for the performances (Daniel Craig is particularly enjoyable) but everything else left me wanting.Translated from by -
