  It had potential to be a fun premise! Then it was boring and I cared about nobody. She wasn’t believable as a geek so when she “got hot” it wasn’t that crazy. Could have worked with a different casting? Vince Vaughn has naturally great slasher villain stature.

  A Quiet Place: Day One 2024

  Starting off it had the potential to be better than the original quiet place. However it lacked a lot of endurance to continue the emotional connection we have with the main character, Sam. I would have enjoyed more fun set pieces and a deeper dimension to Quinn’s character. I think making movies where the gimmick is to not make sound gets boring by the third movie. I didn’t care about the characters by the end. What gained a full star for me was the acting chops of catctors Schnitzel and Nico who played Frodo the cat. Their purrformance kept me watching.

  To those who have not watched: unique idea with some eerie moments. Not very scary and could have explored the concept more in depth. I also was expecting more weird effects, but was maybe led on by hype. This may attract those who enjoy unsettling ambiance with supernatural mystery. Takes a moment to get into the juicy stuff but the build up isn’t boring. Just felt more toned down than it could have been.
