Serviceable sequel.
Wonka shouldn’t have been made and Paul King should have been director here instead. I’m not sure if that was the issue here to be honest, although it didn’t help. Antonio Banderas is the highlight.

Cute but too many dreamwork-sims. I think the Levi plot in Scavengers Reigns is a recent better realised version of the story of a robot nature warden
Underappreciated and misunderstood, I think what I admire most about this take on Godzilla is the sheer adoration Gareth Edwards has for the big boy. It's a love letter to the fella. Very brave to go with the 'less is more' approach with a blockbuster monster film, and it did prove very divisive, but I love it. Each fleeting glance, every tease, a glimpse at the majesty and power of our friend from the Pacific...or Atlantic
I don't think I can score a film like this, it's a thoroughly unpleasant experience and one that really tested my patience but that was the point? Similar to how I felt about Mad God but that was half as long. The vision and execution is something to behold, they managed to craft a viscerally repulsive film which we aren't meant to 'enjoy' and they were very successful. How do you score that?
