Predators 2010
Weird movie from a weird time. Loved seeing Laurence workshop his John Wick character so far in advance.
I remember my parents, deep into their evangelical phase, saying they left this movie early. Like before the hallway point. That never made sense to me when papa still liked Predator. How bad could it be!
Seeing this for the first time, it makes no sense from a moral standpoint. But it does peak with the Fish. Might as well leave once he gets pulped. Love you papap.

You can’t just make a movie like this. You can’t just release a movie like this. You have to spend at least a decade letting other directors come to terms with the fact that it’s over. They can try and try again but Denis made the movie for theaters.
I did see it in iMax Dolby. That helped.
