Jake gylenhaal has yet another great film, but still hasn’t been recognised as much as some actors for his filmography and performances throughout every picture he’s appeared in. Somehow massively under appreciated and somewhat underrated, there are many films where he’s deserved an Oscar nomination. David Ayer has made some hits in his time, this being one of them. Gylenhaal and pena have some authentic chemistry, and the work they put in for their roles in this added to that…

Shadow of a Doubt 1943
Supposedly, hitchcocks favourite film to make. With an interesting lead for Charles Oakley, personally I preferred a lot of his other films more. Though this is Hitchcock on his uprising and at his best from here upwards. Charles often got sidelined, which is a shame as he was what keeps the film intriguing though he’s always present in the minds of the characters around him who suspect something. Top performances all around with the cast, especially the two leads of Charlie and Charlie. And yet another good Hitchcock film but on my first watch it wasn’t one of my personal favourites.
